For all the critiques against this march....
Remember, this march is for pushing lawmakers to 'take up comprehensive immigration reform'. This is not for granting immediate amnesty to undocumented/illegals.
If you are waiting for exclusive reform on H1B/EB3-I/EB2-I instant-green-card-welcoming kit, well, good luck in your shell for another 1000 years. Why not join hands with another group for a similar & bigger goal? Like I said in my initial post, there's nothing to lose... Consider it. Its a 'I scratch your back, you scratch my back' thing..

What I want to say to you is, don't just sit here complaining. Do something! There are many other threads with advice as to what might be relevant to your case. Look around for CADude's posts. His information is very useful. I also posted my own experiences and solutions.
Read everything. Find out exactly what the hell is going on. Figure out all the factors. Understand the situation. An old movie had the saying "Chance favors the prepared mind." It's true.
I pray you will get out of this rut asap.

www.keepitcoolarizona.com - A full blown PHP site. The layout was done in photoshop. This site features a full PHP backend, including a full admin panel. The client can edit any and all content on the site, as well as add new sections as needed. The content is stored in a mySQL database. It also utilizes the PHP GD Library in order to edit user uploaded images on the fly, including making dynamic thumbnails of photo gallery images. Completion time for this project was 43 hours of work time.

I am in the same boat as well. But you answer your question - am almost sure you don't need FP to renew your EAD. Having said that - why would renew your card in June? (Considering that you might not have received your EAD till Aug-Sep'07 of last year).
the fact that there were so many EAD applicants through June/July - the workload will be very high on USCIS so everyone will file at the earliest ie proposed 120 days prior to expiry.

Seriously , its only the PD which counts , so in this case the one with earliest PD should get his approval first, but sometimes ( sorry many a times ) USCIS has its own ways of doing things,so It can go the other wat too

i guess you would need to share specifics with a reputed attorney to identify what went wrong in your brother's case. on this forum, there is limited help for a case like yours that requires professional handling.

Hi,
I came to US in 2004, my H1 visa was sponsored by cognizant technology solutions. H1 was valid from Nov 04 to Dec 06. later on my I 94 was extended from Dec 06 to July 09 .
I changed company and joined wipro in Aug 08 and now my I 94 is now valid till July 2010.
I have never gone back to India for a visit ever since I landed in US (2004)..I now want to go to India for few months and have read that i'll have to get my visa stamped before reentering US...
My question is if i'll have any problems with visa stamping because I was originally working with cognizant and am now working with wipro?..Am I out of status since my original visa expired in 2006 ?...pls help

Switching from H-1B to EAD comes under change in employee's eligibility. That's the reason new I-9 is filed (to reflect change in employee's employment eligibility).

I feel compelled to say that we the struggling immigrants from India
do not get much help from Americans whose roots are from SouthAsia/India.
There may be few exceptions - but the majority is kind of neutral.
Look at the Latino peoples - check out how much support they gets from Latino-Americans. Without that we can't be on Front page .
I'm not pessismistic but a its a grim reality.
Those southasian americans dont forget to say "I love my India" for various financial/personal gains but never ever mistakes saying "I love indians also"

My wife called Air France and France's Atlanta consulate. She will be requiring Airport Transit Visa B.
She will have to mail her original and one copy of passport and I 20 form with $ 86 Visa fee for Airport Transit Visa and an Express mail self address envelope.
Also Air France is going charge $ 50 each for extra bag after first (I received a mail about baggage fee after booking my ticket).
I will never again travel with Air France, British Airway and Lufthance even after geting GC. Today these three airlines lost a customer for life.
These three airlines don't need desi's business.:mad:
if u booked just today online , u may be able to get a refund without any penalty..some airlines do that , i am not sure about airfrance.

My 140 was filed last week and I don't have the receipt number. Can I file 485 without I140 receipt number?
Ask yourself.. how do people file concurrently ?! .. the only problem will be if your I-485 comes for review before I-140 is cleared. Then you'll get a notice for denial since I-140 is not approved. But what are the chances of that happening in todays scenario unless you have a very old PD>

Hello all,
Could someone who are recently travelled via London Heathrow, please let me know what all should be done in order to obtain the DATV visa?
My flight stops there for under 2 hours (for cleaning and refuelling), and I was told I need to get the DATV since my visa expired and my approved AP alone is not enough.
Though I have gone through the required websites, i would still appreciate info from any one who recently experienced getting the DATV and travelling via London. Do I need to send I-485 receipt notice original and EAD as well?
Or is it enought to send the online application, passport, photo and AP originals?
Is there anyway to do everything in person, including handing over documents?
Also, it would be great if you could let me know how long it took to get the visa and your documents back!
Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

Granted the employer may not deduct the attorney fees post filing, does that also necessarily mean the employee should not be required to pay up front?

Update to my case. Submitted Originally on July 2nd for I-140/I-1485. USCIS Sent back everything on Aug�28 stating Original Labor missing. Attorney sent back the case on Sep 11th with a cover letter that the labor could be requested by USCIS to DOL. The copy of ETA9089 & certified online copy was attached with the original case. I was hoping that they will accept the case this time as I have seen similar cases where they accept the case and issue RFE at a later date. Attorney also mentioned that he got receipts for similar cases like this.
Today- USCIS returned back the application (both I-140 & I-1485) with the letter saying that the dates are not current even though the date stamped was July 2nd on the case. I talked to attorney and he is planning to send the case back to them giving examples on the similar cases and putting a strong cover letter. The final plan of action still needs to be finalized. Looks like I am the unlucky one presently from the batch of 400 K applications. I don�t know how to express my pain, agony frustration I have gone through the last 4 months. I don�t have words to express myself but just feel so terribly sad and disappointed from this whole process I have been going through... I am also planning to contact the local senators /congressman and sought their help & attention.
